CR Belouizdad suffered a heavy defeat at the Alphonse-Massamba-Débat Stadium in Brazzaville against AS Otoho d’Oyo (4-1), as part of Matchday 2 of the CAF Confederation Cup (Group C).
The Chabab were caught off guard from the start, conceding three early goals before the half-hour mark, unable to match the pace imposed by the Congolese side. In the second half, CRB conceded a fourth goal, widening the gap even further, before Meziane pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute.
This completely missed outing should serve as a wake-up call. Belouizdad’s players will need to react quickly to stay in contention and show a completely different face in the upcoming continental matches.
