CR Belouizdad kicked off the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup with a deserved 2–0 victory over Tanzania’s Singida Black Stars, in a match played last night at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Baraki.
The Algerian side imposed their rhythm from the start, opening the scoring in the 5th minute through Abdennour Belkhouasini, before Abderraouf Benguit doubled the lead in the 14th minute with a well-placed shot.
With this win, the Algerian representatives begin the competition with three valuable points, giving them confidence for the rest of the group stage and boosting their ambitions to qualify for the next round.
